Cavit Roscato Smooth Red Blend is a light, soft, and remarkably silky Italian red wine that offers a delightfully approachable, fruit-driven alternative to the brand's classic sweet, fizzy roster. Crafted by the renowned Cavit winery group using premium fruit harvested across Northern Italy's Trevenezie zone, this still red blend is intentionally structured to be extraordinarily smooth and velvet-like on the palate. The grapes undergo traditional skin-contact fermentation at carefully regulated temperatures to preserve their vibrant primary fruit characters, followed by a maturation process in a mix of stainless steel tanks and medium-sized oak casks for roughly 12 months. In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-red color with bright, lively clarity. The highly aromatic, expressive nose opens with aromas of bright red orchard fruits, juicy raspberries, and fresh red cherries, masterfully intertwined with delicate undertones of dark chocolate, plum compote, and warm vanilla bean. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, round, and beautifully balanced, displaying an engaging, fruit-forward fluid coherence. Its core of red berry and dark cherry flavors is effortlessly supported by very soft, velvety tannins and a gentle line of natural acidity, enhanced by a low level of residual sugar that lends a touch of soft sweetness without feeling cloying. It concludes with a smooth, lingering finish featuring a trace of sweet wood oak and mocha.
