In the glass, it presents a concentrated ruby hue with subtle violet glimmers, unfurling a highly expressive bouquet of blackcurrant, sour plum, and fresh herbs accented by notes of cedar wood, tobacco leaf, and a distinct hint of flinty minerality. Sporting a smart new label design, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Nemo is a confident and varietally pure expression of the grape. Despite the heat and the sunshine of the vintage, the cooler conditions of Barberino Val d'Elsa allow for some spice and green herb to accent the bouquet here. At its core, the wine shows a thick heart of blackberry fruit and sour plum. Give it a few more months to gain in weight and volume thanks to extra bottle aging.
