About the Casanova di Neri Giovanni Neri Brunello di Montalcino
Dedicated to the founder of Casanova di Neri on the estate's 50th anniversary, Giovanni Neri Brunello di Montalcino is a monumental single-vineyard Sangiovese sourced from 50-year-old vines in the southeastern subregion of Montalcino. Crafted with minimal intervention using native yeast fermentation in open-top oak vats and aged extensively in barrel and bottle, it displays captivating aromas of dark wild berries, blood orange, crushed mint, floral rose petals, and delicate mineral earth. The palate is rich, refined, and beautifully balanced, offering velvety, seamless tannins, vibrant acidity, and an extraordinarily long, chiselled finish.
Food Pairing: Serve at room temperature; pairs magnificently with florentine steak (Bistecca alla Fiorentina), roasted rack of lamb, braised wild boar, slow-cooked osso buco, truffle pasta, and aged Pecorino Toscano cheese.
