Carruades de Lafite 2023 is a refined, silky, and energetic red wine representing the second wine of First Growth legend Château Lafite Rothschild. Unusually for this vintage, the blend is composed exclusively of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, with no Cabernet Franc or Petit Verdot included. In the glass, it displays a deep garnet-purple color with expressive aromas of fresh cassis, wild strawberry, mint leaf, pencil lead, cedar, and delicate rose petal. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and beautifully structured, combining a supple, creamy texture with vibrant acidity, powdery tannins, and a long, saline, mineral-tinged finish that echoes classic Pauillac elegance.

Food Pairing: Pairs wonderfully with roasted rack of lamb, grilled ribeye steak, braised beef short ribs, roasted duck, wild mushroom ragù, and aged Comté cheese.

It really grows on the finish with such sweetness of fruit and length. Pointed, fine tannins at the end. Very long. A blend of 60% cabernet sauvignon and 40% merlot.
