Château Cap de Faugères 'La Mouleyre' 2016 is a rare, luxury cuvée produced in extremely limited quantities from a tiny four-hectare parcel of old vines planted on exceptional clay-limestone soils. Owned by Silvio Denz and crafted with expert guidance from renowned consulting oenologist Michel Rolland, this Merlot-dominant Right Bank gem captures the brilliance and density of the extraordinary 2016 Bordeaux vintage. In the glass, it presents a deep garnet-purple color and unveils a rich, seductive bouquet of dark cherries, ripe plums, cassis, and kirsch, complemented by notes of licorice, espresso, graphite, and crushed stone. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, concentrated, and opulent, delivering layers of plush black fruit supported by fine-grained, velvety tannins and a vibrant line of freshness that carries into a long, persistent finish.
