About the Cantina Di Negrar Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2021 750ml
Obtained from Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes grown in the Valpolicella Classico area using the traditional method of drying in large fruttaio, or drying rooms. With 85 years of winemaking, this winery continues to grace dinner tables with many styles. Made by drying the grapes gives it depth and density. Colour is ruby red, dense and compact. Nose has big intensity and persistence, ethereal, fruity with hints of cherries and dried prunes, dried flowers, sweet spices. On the palate, the wine is densely structured and smooth, perfectly balancing its rich endowment of velvety tannins.
86 Points - Wine Enthusiast
This Amarone is a wine that demands patience. Initially reserved. As the wine develops in the glass aromas of blackberries and plums dusted with cinnamon and clove emerge from the glass. As it evolves, the palate reveals a dried cherry and figs flavors with a tobacco leaf and cocoa notes. Savory herbal notes linger on the finish.
