"Composed of ten artisanal wineries spread across Spain’s main wine regions, Gil Family Estates takes a small-scale approach to viticulture. Among their projects, Cellers Can Blau stands out in particular. Located south of Barcelona in El Molar, Tarragona, this winery runs on solar power and distinguishes itself with its unique grape varieties and soils. The estate produces only three red blends, all sourced from its own vineyards, including this cuvée “Blau.”
A wine that bursts with fruity flavors, combining cherries, raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries. These aromas are enriched with balsamic notes, graphite, and spices that awaken the senses. On the palate, it is full-bodied and intense, revealing a fleshy and vibrant texture. The finish is fresh and subtly mineral, inviting you to prolong the experience.
Decant for about 20 minutes and serve at 17 °C (62.6 °F). Perfectly suited for BBQ chicken drumsticks, rack of lamb, duck confit, peppercorn filet mignon, or osso buco."
