San Felice Campogiovanni Brunello Di Montalcino 2015

The San Felice Campogiovanni Brunello di Montalcino 2015 is a majestic, highly structural, and deeply traditional Old World red wine that beautifully captures the exceptionally warm, solar conditions of this legendary five-star vintage. It pours a dense garnet red colour into the glass, lifting with an expansive, classic bouquet of perfectly ripened wild berries, dark plum preserves, sweet tobacco leaf, and tanned leather, seamlessly layered with complex undertones of espresso roast and Asian spices. On the palate, this full-bodied, pure Sangiovese displays an incredibly rich, voluminous mouthfeel, coating the mouth with pure intensities of dark stone fruits, integrated stony minerality, and a touch of dark chocolate. Matured meticulously for 36 months in a combination of large Slavonian oak casks and 500-liter tonneaux followed by an additional year of bottle cellaring, its generous power balances flawlessly against a racy, food-friendly acidity and firm, velvety tannins that carry into a lengthy, majestic finish marked by fruit liqueur.
