Cadenhead Original Collection Tomatin 16 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Cadenhead Original Collection Tomatin 16 Year Old is an independently bottled single malt Scotch whisky from Tomatin Distillery in Scotland's Highland region. Distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2025 at 46% ABV, this expression spent 16 years maturing, with a period in Manzanilla sherry hogsheads beginning in 2020. Selected by Wm Cadenhead for its Original Collection, it offers a distinctive combination of buttery richness, fruity sweetness, delicate herbal notes and savoury complexity, beautifully showcasing Tomatin's elegant Highland character.

Food Pairing: Pairs beautifully with roasted chicken, grilled pork tenderloin, aged Manchego, salted almonds and buttery pastries. Orange-infused dark chocolate, caramel desserts and toasted nuts complement its Manzanilla-influenced sweetness and savoury character.

Tasting Notes: A richly textured Highland single malt combining buttery confectionery, ripe banana, aromatic citrus and gentle spice. Manzanilla sherry maturation contributes savoury complexity, balancing creamy sweetness with delicate herbal and salty notes.

Nose: Buttery aromas of Cognac, brandy snaps, stroopwafels and ripe banana.

Palate: Chamomile tea, orange peel, milk chocolate and cardamom create a harmonious balance of fruit, sweetness and aromatic spice.

Finish: Savoury pretzels, salted bread, caramelized brown sugar and cola linger with an appealing combination of sweetness and salinity.
