About the Cadenhead Teaninich 2008 Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Cadenhead Teaninich 2008 is an independently bottled single malt Scotch whisky distilled at Teaninich Distillery in Scotland's Highland region. Distilled in 2008 and bottled at 46% ABV by Wm Cadenhead, this expression offers an opportunity to explore the distillery's distinctive Highland malt character through the perspective of one of Scotland's longest-established independent bottlers. Known for its fresh, cereal-driven spirit, Teaninich provides a compelling foundation for a whisky combining malt richness, subtle fruit and gentle complexity.
Food Pairing: Pairs beautifully with roasted chicken, grilled pork, mature cheddar, toasted almonds and buttery shortbread. Apple tart, vanilla custard and honey-glazed pastries also make appealing accompaniments.
Tasting Notes: A fruit-rich Highland single malt combining syrupy stone fruits, honey, sweet wine influence and savoury complexity from its Sauternes cask finish.
Nose: Melted butter, peaches in syrup and fruit trifle.
Palate: Sultanas, honey, oregano, apricots and sun-dried tomatoes.
Finish: Wine gums, abundant vanilla, banana loaf and walnuts.
