Cadenhead's Original Collection Glen Elgin-Glenlivet 12 Year Old 2012

Cadenhead's Original Collection Glen Elgin-Glenlivet 12 Year Old 2012 is an independently bottled Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from Glen Elgin Distillery. Distilled in 2012 and aged for 12 years, the whisky was re-racked into Palo Cortado sherry casks in 2023 for an extended two-year secondary maturation before bottling at 46% ABV. The result combines Glen Elgin's fruity, elegant character with nutty sherry influence, orchard fruit, honeyed sweetness and a subtle savoury dimension. 

Food Pairing: Pair with roast pork, Manchego cheese, toasted almonds, charcuterie, poached pears or cranberry-based desserts.

Tasting Notes: Fruity and sweet with orchard fruit, honey and nuts balanced by savoury Palo Cortado character.

Nose: Rock salt, maple bacon and red apples.

Palate: Almonds, pears poached in red wine and natural honey.

Finish: Pomegranate and cranberry with lingering fruity sweetness and a subtle savoury note.
