Caballito Cerrero Azul Anejo Mezcal

The Caballito Cerrero Azul Anejo is a destilado de agave produced by the renowned Tequila brand founded by Alfonso Jimenez Rosales in Amatitan, Jalisco. This expression is crafted using agaves grown exclusively on the family's land, including maguey Azul (Agave tequilana) and maguey Chato (Agave angustifolia). It has been aged for an impressive five years in American White Oak barrels.

The aroma of this anejo tequila reveals delightful notes of pear, peach, and floral tones. It offers a silky creme caramel profile with subtle hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, oak, and agave that remain prominent. The palate experiences a wave of perfume-like fruit and floral flavors, followed by mild pepper, vanilla, and a slight bitterness on the back of the tongue. It presents a harmonious blend of sweet and savory notes. The finish is long-lasting, warming, and characterized by lingering pepper and spices. It concludes with a slightly musty bitterness, providing a unique and memorable ending to the tasting experience.
