Burwood Cool Cucumber Gin

Handcrafted in Calgary, Alberta, by Burwood Distillery, Cool Cucumber Gin is an artisanal craft expression featured in their popular garden-inspired seasonal series. Distilled in small batches from locally sourced Alberta grains and enriched with pure local honey, this spirit is vapor-infused and steeped with fresh, crisp greenhouse cucumbers and complimentary botanicals. The resulting gin offers a bright, crisp, and exceptionally refreshing profile that highlights green cucumber notes grounded by a smooth juniper base.

Food Pairing: Fresh sushi and sashimi, Greek salad with feta, tzatziki with pita, smoked salmon crostini, caprese salad, or grilled shrimp skewers.

Tasting Notes: Crystal clear to pale jade-tinted in appearance with a light, crisp, and clean mouthfeel.

Nose: Intensely fresh and cooling, dominated by sweet fresh-cut cucumber and crisp green vegetable peel, followed by subtle piney juniper, zesty lime, and delicate floral wildflower honey undertones.

Palate: Refreshing, clean, and juicy, opening with a burst of crisp garden cucumber and bright citrus zest before giving way to resinous juniper, warm coriander, and a subtle, smooth honey sweetness.

Finish: Medium-long, crisp, and invigorating with lingering notes of cool cucumber, clean citrus oil, and dry piney herbs.

Serve: Serve over ice with premium Mediterranean or elderflower tonic water, garnished with a long ribbon of fresh cucumber and a mint sprig, or as an ideal base for a refreshed Gimlet, Southside, or Cucumber Collins.
