Burrowing Owl Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 is a powerful, full-bodied, and tightly structured red wine crafted by Burrowing Owl Estate Winery from its estate vineyards in the South Okanagan Valley. Sourced from the warm Oliver and Osoyoos benches, it undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation before aging in a combination of oak barrels to develop depth and complexity. In the glass, it displays a deep garnet-ruby color. The nose opens with intense aromas of cassis, black cherry, and wild blackberry layered with hints of graphite, sage, tobacco, cacao, and toasted cedar wood. On the palate, it exhibits strong concentration, delivering rich black fruit and dark chocolate flavors framed by firm, drying tannins, crisp natural acidity, and a long, warm, savory finish with notes of espresso and iron.
