Dramfool Bunnahabhain 15 Year Old 2008 Cask #993 is a limited single-cask Islay single malt Scotch whisky and the 66th release from independent bottler Dramfool. Distilled at Bunnahabhain on March 9, 2008, it spent 15 years maturing in a first-fill Pedro Ximénez hogshead before being bottled on July 4, 2023 at its natural cask strength of 55.8% ABV. Only 270 bottles were produced. This unpeated Bunnahabhain combines rich sherry-cask fruit with toffee, maritime freshness, sweet malt and warming oak.

Food Pairing: Pair with slow-roasted pork, glazed ham, aged cheddar, fruitcake, sticky toffee pudding or dark chocolate.

Tasting Notes: Rich sherried fruit and sweetness are balanced by maritime freshness, herbs, oak and the underlying malt character of unpeated Bunnahabhain.

Nose: Figs, prunes and plums lead into toffee, jasmine and lavender, followed by sea spray and fresh herbal notes.

Palate: Red fruits and muscovado sugar mingle with toffee and sea salt, with subtle floral notes adding freshness and complexity.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering ripe fruit, toffee, malt, oak and maritime character.
