Master of Malt Bunnahabhain 15 Year Old 2009 Single Cask

Master of Malt Bunnahabhain 15 Year Old 2009 Single Cask is an independently bottled Islay single malt Scotch whisky distilled at Bunnahabhain in September 2009 and matured for 15 years in a refill hogshead. Bottled in August 2025 at 50.9% ABV, this limited single-cask release yielded only 324 bottles and was released without added colour or chill filtration. Its character combines ripe stone fruit and rich butterscotch with creamy caramel, tea, vanilla and warming oak spice.

Food Pairing: Pair with roast pork, grilled peaches, caramelized nuts, mature cheddar, sticky toffee pudding or crème brûlée.

Tasting Notes: Rich and silky, balancing ripe fruit, butterscotch and condensed-milk sweetness with earthy tea, caramel, roasted coffee and warming spice.

Nose: Grilled peach and creamy apricot with vanilla fudge, shortbread, browned butter, sweet black tea and toasted biscuit notes.

Palate: Silky butterscotch and ripe fruit lead into condensed milk, creamy caramel and earthy tea, followed by treacle sponge and gentle woody spice.

Finish: Long and warming with flambéed fruit, vanilla ice cream, clove, roasted coffee, burnt cream, jelly sweets and lingering nutmeg.
