About the Bumbu The Original Rum
Bumbu The Original is a highly celebrated, ultra-premium craft spirit based on a native 16th-century recipe used by West Indian sailors. Distilled using first-class sugarcane from eight different countries across the Caribbean and South America, it is expertly blended and matured in ex-bourbon oak barrels in Barbados. Infused with completely natural Caribbean spices and ingredients, it is renowned for its smooth, uniquely sweet, and complex profile.
Food Pairing: Pairs spectacularly with rich, caramelized dishes like sweet barbecue pork ribs, jerk chicken wings, or glazed ham. For dessert, it is an incredible companion to warm banana bread, sticky toffee pudding, dark chocolate lava cake, or premium vanilla bean ice cream.
Tasting Notes : Deep amber and mahogany in appearance, delivering a lush, rich, and velvety mouthfeel on the palate.
Nose : Madagascar vanilla, soft caramel, toasted oak, sweet banana, and gentle baking spices.
Palate : Rich and smooth with prominent notes of banana, sweet vanilla, roasted nuts, cinnamon, and warm oak spice.
Finish : Long, sweet, and smooth with lingering notes of warm caramel, spice, and soft wood.
Serve : Best served neat, on the rocks, or as a base in tropical and dark spirit cocktails.
