Clos des Brusquières Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2022 is a classically styled and highly expressive red wine from the Southern Rhône Valley. Sourced from old vines planted in the iconic galets roulés soils, this traditional blend is predominantly Grenache. In the glass, it reveals a rich, dark ruby hue. The nose is incredibly aromatic, leaping from the glass with notes of black raspberry, dark cherry compote, violet pastille, and dried Provençal herbs, accented by a subtle smoky minerality. On the palate, it is full-bodied, sappy, and beautifully textured, delivering generous dark fruit flavors supported by muscular, fine-grained tannins. An earthy, old-school character is balanced by a vibrant freshness, culminating in a long, savory finish laced with iron-tinged minerality and peppery spice.
