About the Bruno Giacosa Barbera d'Alba 2021
Bruno Giacosa Barbera d'Alba 2021 is a structured, vibrant, and beautifully focused red wine produced by the iconic Bruno Giacosa winery in Piedmont. Crafted from select vineyards in the villages of Alba and Neive, it undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel before aging for 14 months in traditional French oak barrels. In the glass, it presents a deep, intense ruby red hue. The aromatic profile is classic to the varietal, opening with rich notes of ripe dark cherries, wild blackberries, and plums, layered with dark spices, crushed violet, and subtle earthy undertones. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied, offering concentrated dark red fruit flavors balanced by bright, refreshing acidity and fine, well-integrated tannins that carry through to a long, polished finish.
Food Pairing: Pairs wonderfully with tajarin with ragù, braised beef, polenta with sausages, roasted pork, and aged cheeses like Piedmontese Toma.
