About the Brumont Chateau Montus Blanc Sec 2015
Brumont Château Montus Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh 2015 is a highly distinctive and masterfully structured dry white wine from Southwest France. Composed almost entirely of the rare Petit Courbu grape variety, it displays a rich, shimmering gold color in the glass. The aromatic profile is incredibly complex, unfolding with pronounced aromas of golden delicious apple, quince, poached pear, and creamed tangerine, balanced by hints of beeswax, dry wildflowers, and mild baking spices. On the palate, this full-bodied white is remarkably silky, oily, and dense, demonstrating superb volume and a perfect harmony between rich orchard fruits, subtle, well-integrated toasted oak, and a saline, mineral-driven freshness that sweeps into a long, beautifully fresh finish.
Food Pairing: Pairs exquisitely with pan-seared foie gras, roasted sea bass, milk-fed veal chop with wild chanterelles, or a rich wild mushroom risotto.
92 Points - Wine Enthusiast
It is impressive how slowly Petit Courbu ages. Still packed with fruits, this wine is just beginning to mature, bringing in bitter almonds to broaden the fruits and acidity. The wine is now ready to drink.
