About the Catherine & Pierre Breton Trinch Bourgueil 2023 750ml
Breton Trinch Bourgueil is a fruity, red wine from the Loire Valley of France that's made from Cabernet Franc grapes:
Tasting notes
A deep ruby color with notes of blackberry, raspberry, spice, leather, and brambleberry. The wine has a soft, velvety texture with medium tannins and a long finish.
Food pairing
Goes well with roasted meats, stews, terrine, gamey pâté, fresh seafood, light summer salads, and pastas.
Production
Made using sustainable and biodynamic farming practices, including hand-harvested fruit, tank-fermentation, and minimal sulfur. The grapes are grown on 20-year-old vines on gravel clay and limestone soil in Bourgueil.
Winery
Produced by the family-owned Domaine Breton wine brand, which has been run by five generations of the Breton family. Catherine and Pierre Breton are the winemakers behind the Trinch Bourgueil.
