Brave New Spirits WhiskyHeroes Defender of the Crown Annandale 8 Year Old is a peated Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled at Annandale Distillery and independently bottled by Brave New Spirits. Matured for eight years in a first-fill Oloroso Sherry Butt, it combines Annandale’s smoky malt character with the rich fruit and spice of sherry maturation. Bottled at 52.9% ABV, this limited release produced 676 bottles.

Food Pairing: Pair with roast pork, smoked meats, bacon, dark chocolate, aged cheddar or dried-fruit desserts.

Tasting Notes: Rich and savoury with oily peat, ripe fruit, dark chocolate and warming spice, balanced by the sweetness of Oloroso sherry maturation.

Nose: Crispy bacon, white grapes, thyme and ripe mixed fruits with underlying smoke and sherry richness.

Palate: Oily and full-bodied with dark fruit, roast pork, dark chocolate, peppery spice and savoury peat.

Finish: Long and warming with lingering dark chocolate, spice, sherry sweetness and gentle smoke.
