Brancaia Stella Spumante

Brancaia Stella is a beautifully elegant and expressive sparkling wine that represents the estate's exquisite venture into the traditional method (Spumante Metodo Classico). Sourced from hand-picked Chardonnay grapes grown in the cool-climate, high-elevation vineyards of Trentino, the base wine is crafted in collaboration with the Gaierhof winery. It is aged on its lees for at least 24 months before disgorgement, with the liqueur d'expédition carefully enriched with a few drops of Brancaia's signature "Il Bianco" to infuse the estate's distinct style. Named "Stella" (meaning stars) after proprietor Barbara Widmer’s daughter, who as a child called sparkling wine bubbles stars, this Brut opens with a fragrant, refined bouquet of fresh green apples, pears, and subtle citrus, seamlessly integrated with classic aromas of warm brioche and toasted almonds. On the palate, it is remarkably fresh, vibrant, and precise, highlighting a finely detailed perlage, a lively mineral tension, and a elegant, clean finish.
