Brancaia Il Blu 2021

Brancaia Il Blu 2021 is an incredibly sophisticated, complex, and full-bodied Super Tuscan red wine that stands as the ultimate flagship expression of the Brancaia estate. Composed of a premium blend of Merlot, Sangiovese, and Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from top-performing vineyards in Castellina and Radda in Chianti, each parcel and variety is aged separately for 18 months in French oak barriques (two-thirds new). The final blend is then refined for an additional three months in concrete vats and one year in bottle prior to release. In the glass, it reveals a dark, dense ruby red color with an elegant, expressive nose of ripe blackcurrants, blackberries, and sweet cherries, beautifully complexed by nuances of violet, cocoa, mint, and sandalwood. The palate is rich, seamless, and powerfully structured, delivering concentrated dark berry and wild plum flavors supported by firm, ultra-fine, creamy tannins and a vibrant, mineral-driven acidity that carries into a long, exceptionally polished finish.
