Brancaia Il Blu 2018 1.5L Magnum

Brancaia Il Blu 2018 is an incredibly elegant, complex, and full-bodied Super Tuscan red wine celebrating its 30th anniversary with this exceptional vintage. Crafted predominantly from high-quality Merlot alongside Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, it is aged for 18 months in French oak barriques and an additional 3 months in concrete vats. The nose offers a rich, expressive bouquet of blackcurrants, wild berries, and dark plums layered with sophisticated notes of violets, cocoa, mint, and toasted spices. On the palate, it is structured and incredibly seamless, showing a dense, concentrated fruit core framed by firm, velvety tannins and balanced acidity before finishing with long, savory persistence.

Food Pairing: Pairs perfectly with roasted rack of lamb, thick-cut grilled Florentine steak, slow-braised wild boar ragù, or well-matured hard cheeses.

Beautiful aromas of currants and mushrooms with bark and flowers. Violets and chocolate, too. It’s full-bodied with firm, creamy tannins that are long and poised. It has such attractive tension and focus. Lovely sweet currants and berries at the finish. So succulent and intense. 80% merlot, 10% cabernet sauvignon and 10% sangiovese. The merlot is from the area of Radda and the cabernet and sangiovese from Castelina in Chianti. Drink or hold.
