Bowmore Aston Martin ARC-52 1968 Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Bowmore Aston Martin ARC-52 is an exceptionally rare 52 Year Old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky created through a collaboration between Bowmore and Aston Martin. Distilled in 1968, ARC-52 brings together two extraordinarily aged parcels of Bowmore in an exact 50/50 marriage: whisky matured in an American oak ex-Bourbon hogshead and whisky matured in a European oak Sherry butt.

Bottled at 42.3% ABV, only 100 individually numbered decanters were released worldwide. The whisky is housed in a sculptural hand-crafted decanter inspired by Aston Martin's approach to aerodynamic design, making ARC-52 both an extraordinarily mature Bowmore and a highly limited collector's release.

Food Pairing: Best enjoyed on its own, though its tropical fruit, nut and gentle peat character can complement roasted hazelnuts, almond praline, citrus desserts or fine dark chocolate.

Tasting Notes: Exceptionally complex and elegant, combining mature tropical and citrus fruit with creamy sweetness, nuts, tobacco, herbs and beautifully integrated peat.

Nose: Creamy vanilla and custard lead into peach, pear, kumquat, mandarin and guava, accented by fresh mint and eucalyptus.

Palate: Sweet green grapes and peach melba develop alongside clementine and lime zest, followed by almonds, hazelnuts and tobacco leaf with delicate ashy peat and a buttery texture.

Finish: Long and sophisticated with herbal and medicinal notes, exotic fruit, praline and butterscotch.
