Bosconia Red 2014

An exceptional and traditional Rioja Reserva showing an elegant deep ruby hue with delicate orange undertones. The complex nose opens with tertiary notes of earthy plums, luxurious leather, and tobacco leaf beautifully interwoven with hints of cola, cassis, and sweet baking spices. The medium-bodied palate delivers remarkable freshness, fine-grained tannins, and a beautifully balanced, persistent finish.

Food Pairing: Pairs perfectly with roasted duck confit, herb-crusted leg of lamb, rich mushroom ragout, savory game stews, or a classic selection of cured Spanish meats.

Savory plums, berries, orange peel and iron. Some dried spices too. Quite firm and fine-grained, this has medium to full body and a finish that’s long, savory and not heavy. Tannins are still a little tight. Drinkable now but better from 2027.
