Castiglion del Bosco Brunello di Montalcino 2004 is an exceptional, mature expression of 100% Sangiovese sourced from the estate's historic Capanna vineyard in the northwestern zone of Montalcino. Benefiting from an outstanding growing season, this wine was fermented in stainless steel before undergoing 24 months of traditional aging in French oak barrels. In the glass, it displays a beautiful garnet color with sophisticated bricking at the rim, introducing an aromatic bouquet loaded with dried cherry, leather, cedar, and balsam, framed by forest floor and wild herbal nuances. On the palate, it is beautifully integrated and velvety, offering seamless dark fruit and savory spice flavors wrapped in polished, resolved tannins before culminating in a long, elegant finish.
