About the Berry Bros. & Rudd Royal Brackla 2008 Cask #304720 Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Berry Bros. & Rudd Royal Brackla 2008 is a limited single-cask Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky selected and bottled by one of Britain's oldest independent wine and spirits merchants. Distilled at Royal Brackla in 2008, this expression matured in Hogshead Cask #304720 before being bottled in 2023 at a robust 52.6% ABV, with only 298 bottles produced.
Elegant yet richly textured, this Royal Brackla combines ripe orchard fruit and creamy malt with honeyed sweetness, warming spice and mature oak. Its long maturation brings additional depth while retaining the distillery's refined and fruit-forward Highland character.
Food Pairing: Pair with roast pork, baked Brie, aged cheddar, apple tart, toasted almonds or vanilla-based desserts.
Tasting Notes: Rich and elegant with orchard fruit, honeyed malt, vanilla, warming spice and mature oak.
Nose: Ripe apples and pears mingle with honey, creamy malt and gentle vanilla, followed by subtle oak spice.
Palate: Full and warming with orchard fruit, malt sweetness, vanilla and toasted nuts balanced by structured oak and spice.
Finish: Long and warming with lingering fruit, malt, vanilla and gently drying oak.
