About the Jean-Luc Pasquet Confluences Bord de Mer L.30Y Cognac 500ml
Jean-Luc Pasquet Confluences Bord de Mer L.30Y Cognac is the first Borderies Cognac released by Maison Jean-Luc Pasquet under its Confluences collection. Bottled in 2024 at 49% ABV, this exceptionally limited cuvée is a blend with an average age of 30 years, represented by the Lot designation L.30Y. Only 309 bottles were produced. It captures the characteristic freshness and elegance of Borderies through an expressive combination of floral character, orchard fruit, peppery spice, citrus and a subtly saline finish.
Food Pairing: Fresh oysters, shellfish, grilled prawns, aged Comté, apple tart, toasted almonds, citrus desserts, and lightly cured seafood.
Tasting Notes: Full gold with an elegant yet characterful profile, balancing floral freshness, orchard fruit, peppery spice, citrus and subtle savoury nuances.
Nose: Elegant and fresh with floral notes, apple, nougat and subtle peppery and savoury nuances.
Palate: Direct and lively with pronounced spice and pepper, followed by citrus, fruit and lightly vegetal nuances.
Finish: Fresh and persistent with citrus, spice and a subtle saline character that reinforces the maritime inspiration behind Bord de Mer.
