About the Bokisch Monastrell
It erupts with dark aromas of blueberry compote, black plum, and blackberry jam wrapped in notes of violets, cracked black pepper, and a hint of smoked paprika. Lodi’s warm summer days ripen Monastrell to inky concentration, while nightly Delta breezes preserve balancing acidity, so the palate feels both plush and lively. Layers of blackberry, dark chocolate, and toasted spice glide across velvety tannins, then tighten into a savory finish marked by leather, fresh tobacco leaf, and a subtle mineral edge. A quick decant reveals extra nuances of mission fig and rosemary, making every sip equal parts bold, aromatic, and food-friendly.
Food pairing: Pairs best with braised short ribs, chorizo paella, grilled lamb chops, smoky barbecue brisket, Manchego cheese, or dark-chocolate truffles.
