About the Catena High Mountain Vines Chardonnay
A benchmark for high-altitude Argentinian white wine, the Catena High Mountain Vines Chardonnay is a blend of four different estate vineyards ranging from 3,100 to 4,750 feet in elevation. This unique combination of altitudes and soil types produces a wine of great complexity and balance. It presents a brilliant yellow colour with greenish reflections and opens with an intense bouquet of citrus fruits, white peach, and apricot, layered with delicate floral notes and a touch of vanilla. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and clean, showcasing a rich, oily texture perfectly counterbalanced by a vibrant, stony acidity and a characteristic saline minerality. The finish is long and refreshing, featuring subtle toasted notes from partial aging in French oak.
