Bluecoat Barrel Finished Gin

Handcrafted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, by Philadelphia Distilling, Bluecoat Barrel Finished Gin takes the distillery's flagship organic American Dry Gin and rests it in new charred American oak barrels for a minimum of several months. Distilled in custom copper pot stills using certified organic botanicals, this wood-aged expression integrates warm oak, vanilla, and subtle whiskey complexity with bright American citrus and soft, round juniper notes.

Food Pairing: Grilled pork chops, duck breast with orange reduction, aged Cheddar, smoked Gouda, dark chocolate, or pecan pie.

Tasting Notes: Warm golden amber in appearance with a smooth, velvety, and rounded mouthfeel that coats the palate.

Nose: Intensely aromatic with toasted oak, vanilla bean, and butterscotch upfront, balanced by candied orange peel, sweet angelica root, and a soft piney juniper backbone.

Palate: Smooth and harmonious, opening with rich oak sweetness, charred wood, and caramel before evolving into bright sweet citrus oils, warm earthy spice, and crisp juniper berries.

Finish: Long, warm, and lingering with persistent notes of toasted wood tannins, vanilla, dried citrus peel, and gentle baking spice.

Serve: Enjoy neat, over a large ice sphere, or as a sophisticated base in classic cocktails such as a Martinez, Boulevardier, or Gin Old Fashioned.
