Blasted Church Pinot Gris 2024 is a vibrant and textural white wine that maintains the winery's signature style despite a unique cross-border vintage. Due to severe winter vine damage in the Okanagan, the fruit for this release was sourced from the sustainably certified Andrews Family Vineyards in Washington's Horse Heaven Hills, a site with silty loam and basalt soils similar to the winery’s home estate. The grapes underwent a two-hour cold soak before a long, cool fermentation, with 10% of the juice aged in neutral French oak to enhance the mid-palate richness. On the nose, it offers an inviting bouquet of ripe pear, green apple, and nectarine, layered with subtle notes of honey and citrus zest. The palate is dry and medium-bodied with a rounded mouthfeel, featuring flavors of stone fruit and bright pineapple that transition into a crisp, clean finish with a lingering mineral touch.
