About the Signatory Vintage Blair Athol 2011 11 Year Old 46% ABV 700ml
Distilled on September 30, 2011, the whisky was matured in Dechar/Recharred Hogsheads for 11 years before bottling in January of 2023 at 46% without added colouring or chillfiltration.
Nose: dried orchard fruits, wine gums, creamed honey, juicy malt and toasted oak; a touch of funk, pine sap and agave nectar.
Palate: lush and waxy; grassy and malty, more creamed honey, agave nectar, and toasted oak; delicate spices, still funky, with more orchard fruits and wine gums.
Finish: warming, spicy, and toasty; grassy, waxy, and a fading fruity tones.
Comment: a very fresh malt, spirit driven, and tasty with a lovely mouthfeel!
