About the Black Tower Riesling 750ml
Critic tasting note: (2016 vintage) "Though ubiquitous to much of the wine drinking world, this was my first ever experience with Black Tower Riesling. From this funny looking two-toned bottle (black up top, blond below) I was expecting a sweet, caricature of cheap riesling. Instead I found a crisp, dry-ish and lemon led riesling, with a high dose of acidity and low dose of alcohol (9.5 percent) on a green apple bright frame. Yes, it's cool ferment in stainless and a tad on the clinical, simple side. But it's not cloying or sweet or tricked up, and it's all German fruit. All of which made for a pleasant surprise, considering how much of this is made, shipped and consumed. (Treve Ring)." - 86/100, Gismondi on Wine
