Bérêche & Fils Les Beaux Regards Ludes Premier Cru 2019 is an extraordinary, single-terroir Blanc de Blancs grower Champagne crafted entirely from 100% Chardonnay grown in "Les Beaux Regards," a historic parcel in the Premier Cru village of Ludes on the Montagne de Reims. Harvested from vines planted in 1902 and 1964 on chalky-limestone soils, this rare cuvée undergoes natural yeast fermentation in oak barrels, blocked malolactic fermentation, and extended aging under natural cork before being disgorged with a minimal Extra Brut dosage. In the glass, it exhibits a luminous pale-gold hue with a fine, energetic perlage. The nose is highly aromatic and intricate, revealing notes of lemon curd, yellow orchard fruit, toasted almonds, white flowers, crushed chalk, and subtlest brioche. On the palate, it is tense, precise, and remarkably linear, delivering concentrated citrus depth, vibrant mineral acidity, and a long, saline, chalk-driven finish.
