Bereche & Fils Reflet d'Antan Brut 1.5L Magnum

Bérêche & Fils Reflet d'Antan Brut 1.5L Magnum is a magnificent, prestigious solera-style grower Champagne crafted from equal parts Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier sourced from old-vine parcels in Ludes, Ormes, and Trépail. Aged in large oak barrels using a perpetual reserve system initiated in 1990, it is bottled under natural cork for its secondary fermentation and aged extensively on its lees before disgorgement with a low Extra Brut/Brut dosage. In the glass, it displays a deep golden hue with an exceptionally fine, persistent perlage. The complex nose reveals rich aromas of dried orchard fruit, candied lemon peel, toasted brioche, roasted hazelnuts, honey, and subtle baking spices. On the palate, it is vinous, broad, and deeply textured, balanced by lively acidity and a long, saline, chalk-driven finish.

Food Pairing: Pairs wonderfully with seared foie gras, roasted duck breast, lobster thermidor, wild mushroom risotto, black truffle dishes, and aged Comté cheese.

Very deep and rich, showing sweet-smelling nuttiness and yellow plums. Essence-like palate that’s deeply concentrated, smooth and richly textured. Super vinous with a mellow bead. A selection of reserve wine, just 4-5 demi-muids (500-600 litre oak barrels) each year. Drink or hold.
