Judging by looks alone, this deep copper coin coloured whisky could be twice its age. One of the more reticent noses of the collection, gradually building with walnuts and tobacco, plummy malt and subtle ripe red berry notes. Controlled spices come with a burst of raisins and ripe plum. Grippy tannins carry pipe tobacco and dark chocolate through to the aftertaste. Almost an earthy quality to this. Interesting selection. 57.5% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. 224 bottles.
