BenRiach 1997 24 Year Old Cask #14493 Single Malt Scotch Whisky

BenRiach 1997 24 Year Old Cask #14493 is a rare single-cask Speyside single malt Scotch whisky bottled exclusively for Alberta. Distilled in 1997 and matured for 24 years in Bourbon Barrel #14493, it was selected by Master Blender Rachel Barrie and bottled in 2022 at a natural cask strength of 56.5% ABV. With an exceptionally limited outturn of just 176 bottles, this Cask Edition showcases mature BenRiach character with layers of honey, raisin, vanilla, citrus and coconut. 

Food Pairing: Pair with almond tart, crème brûlée, orange-dark chocolate, roasted nuts, aged Gouda or bread pudding with caramel sauce.

Tasting Notes: Rich and mature, combining honeyed sweetness, dried raisin and vanilla with almond, coconut and vibrant citrus.

Nose: Honeyed almond and molasses with tonka bean syrup, raisin ice cream and bitter orange.

Palate: Sun-dried raisin, vanilla and coconut ice layered with dark manuka honey, orange and lemon.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering honey, dried fruit, creamy vanilla, coconut and bright citrus.
