Bellingham The Bernard Series Old Vine Chenin Blanc 2025 is an exceptional, lavishly perfumed white wine crafted from low-yielding, certified heritage bush vines averaging over 35 to 45 years of age. Sourced from premier high-altitude and coastal vineyards across South Africa's Western Cape, this hand-harvested cuvée undergoes whole-bundle pressing and barrel maturation in French oak with regular lees stirring (bâtonnage). In the glass, it shows a brilliant pale gold color with a delicate green tint. The highly aromatic and complex nose unfolds with bold layers of ripe tropical fruits, grilled pineapples, fresh peaches, and lemon curd, beautifully accented by fragrant honeysuckle, sweet baking spices, vanilla, and a distinct flinty mineral undertone. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, fleshy, and broad, yet balanced beautifully by Chenin Blanc's signature line of vibrant natural acidity.
