About the Hewitson Barrel 1853
Profound and concentrated, with blackberry, plum and red berry fruit layered with liquorice, dark chocolate, exotic spice and savoury complexity. The palate is powerful yet refined, with polished tannins, impressive depth and an exceptionally long finish.
Food Pairing: Pair with dry-aged beef, roast lamb, venison, braised short ribs, rich game dishes, or aged hard cheeses.
