Francesco Rinaldi & Figli Barolo 2017 is a powerful, traditional, and robust expression of Nebbiolo that brilliantly mirrors the hot and dry conditions of the 2017 Piedmontese growing season. Crafted with fruit sourced from the estate's meticulously tended vineyards across the clay, limestone, and sandy parcels of La Morra, Barolo, and Castiglione Falletto, it pours a classic translucent garnet-red hue in the glass. The nose opens with an earthy, distinctly masculine bouquet featuring prominent notes of leather, cigar tobacco, incense, and campfire smoke, all beautifully woven around a core of dark red fruits, macerated cherries, and dried cranberries. On the palate, this full-bodied, strapping wine shows immense grip and structure, carrying flavors of plum pit, tar, iron, and wild mountain herbs.
