A monumental and classically structured Barolo, the 2019 Bussia is a blend of several estate parcels within the historic Bussia Soprano vineyard. This vintage is noted for its exceptional harmony and precision, showcasing a deep garnet hue. The nose is extraordinarily complex, offering a brooding bouquet of dried cherries, wild strawberries, and rose petals, layered with sophisticated notes of tobacco, blood orange peel, anise, and leather. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, dense, and muscular, featuring a vertical structure with vibrant acidity and firm, fine-grained tannins typical of the iron-rich marl soils of Bussia. Having aged for 26 months in large Slavonian oak casks, it delivers a long, persistent finish with lingering nuances of mineral earth and spice.
