Bard John Prine You Got Gold Kentucky Straight Bourbon is a limited-edition Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey from The Bard Distillery in Graham, Kentucky, created in collaboration with Oh Boy Records and The Hello In There Foundation to honour legendary singer-songwriter John Prine. The 2025 release is a five-year-old, rye-based bourbon assembled from five mash bills, with most of the whiskey barreled in 2020. Bottled at 50.5% ABV (101 proof), a deliberate reference to Prine's October 10 birthday, the release is limited to 7,000 bottles worldwide. 

Food Pairing: Smoked brisket, barbecue pork ribs, grilled steak, aged cheddar, roasted pecans, bread pudding, pecan pie, and dark chocolate.

Tasting Notes: Rich and full-bodied with classic bourbon sweetness, pronounced oak, warming baking spice, and a creamy texture.

Nose: Sweet corn, vanilla, butterscotch, grassy notes, and warming baking spices.

Palate: Sweet corn develops into rich treacle and pronounced oak, balanced by baking spice and white pepper.

Finish: Medium-long and creamy with lingering baking spice, toasted grain, vanilla, and dried citrus peel.
