About the Azelia Barolo 2018 1.5L Magnum
A classic and elegant Barolo with aromas of dried cherry, rose petals, licorice, tar, and earthy spice. Complex layers of red plum, tobacco, leather, truffle, and mineral notes unfold across a structured palate balanced by vibrant acidity and firm Nebbiolo tannins. The finish is long, refined, and age-worthy, showcasing the purity and finesse of the 2018 vintage.
Food Pairing: Pairs beautifully with braised short ribs, osso buco, truffle risotto, wild mushroom dishes, roasted game, aged Parmigiano Reggiano, and slow-cooked lamb.

Luigi Scavino's classic Barolo shows a sweet spot on the bouquet with baked cherry and sweet plum. The Azelia 2018 Barolo does not show the depth or complexity of past vintages; however, the wine offers lots of basic Nebbiolo crispness and plenty of wild berry flavors. There are earthy notes on the close with some light spice.
