Auchentoshan American Oak is a bright, refreshing, and wonderfully approachable single malt Scotch whisky that serves as the perfect introduction to the Lowland style. True to Auchentoshan's century-old tradition, the spirit is uniquely triple-distilled to an exceptionally high purity, resulting in a remarkably smooth, light, and delicate distillate. It is then matured exclusively in first-fill American oak ex-bourbon barrels. This specific wood selection infuses the gentle spirit with vibrant layers of vanilla fudge, sweet citrus, and soft coconut, creating an effortlessly smooth and lively dram that is highly versatile.

Food Pairing: The bright citrus and sweet vanilla notes of this light single malt pair beautifully with lighter fare such as grilled chicken breast with a citrus glaze, pan-seared white fish, or traditional smoked salmon. It also elegantly complements creamy cheeses like Brie and Camembert, toasted almonds, or sweet desserts like lemon meringue pie and vanilla bean panna cotta.

TASTING NOTES - A bright golden thatch hue. The texture is light-bodied, remarkably smooth, and cleanly refreshing across the palate.

NOSE - Lively and sweet, opening with prominent aromas of creamy vanilla fudge, bright citrus zest, and toasted coconut, backed by a soft hint of green apple.

PALATE - Smooth and approachable, featuring sweet flavors of brown sugar, vanilla cream, and glazed peaches, beautifully balanced by a gentle tang of white grapefruit and soft bourbon oak woodiness.

FINISH - Crisp, clean, and of medium length. The sweet vanilla and fruit notes gently fade, leaving a refreshing trail of dry oak spice and a lingering hint of grapefruit rind.

SERVE - Highly versatile. It can be enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water in a Glencairn glass to appreciate its delicate profile, but its crisp nature also makes it an excellent base for a refreshing Scotch highball with ginger ale or soda water over plenty of ice.
