 The 2023 Atelier Chardonnay is an elegant, cool-climate expression from the Russian River Valley, characterized by its pale gold colour with a light green hue. The nose is highly aromatic, featuring fresh scents of Bartlett pear, Meyer lemon, and honeydew melon, accented by delicate floral notes of orange blossom and a hint of almond paste. On the palate, the wine is streamlined and refined, offering a balanced structure with flavours of crisp green apple, lemon curd, and honeycomb. It showcases a creamy yet focused texture—attributed to frequent lees stirring during 11 months of barrel aging—and concludes with a persistent finish marked by savory mineral notes of sea salt and wet river stones.
