About the Arran Signature Remnant Renegade Edition 1 46% 700ml
Fun. A new series from Arran. These limited runs have always gone over well. Their concepts are interesting, their execution is top notch, and the spirits are universally of a high quality. This new Signature Series will be comprised of 4 releases. The first, Remnant Renegade, is a multi-vintage release created from a bunch of random, cool remnant casks they had kicking around. According to the Arran site, a marriage of "Ex-Sherry Hogsheads, Ex-Sherry Butts and Ex-Bourbon Barrels from across the Arran portfolio between 1997 and 2017."
Natural colour, non-chill filtered, and bottled at 46% abv.
Nose: Toffee apples, vanilla, cinnamon spice, really clean and prominent orange blossom notes, star anise.
Palate: Silky smooth and balanced, light liquorice, menthol herbs, honey.
Finish: Long and lingering with orange zest and fresh floral notes. Complex and rewarding.
