About the Ardnamurchan Paul Launois 2024 Release 57.3% ABV 700ml
This limited edition release of Ardnamurchan is from a parcel of nine ex-Bourbon casks, which were re-racked and finished in Paul Launois Champagne Casks and one American oak sherry cask. The whisky has been bottled at 57.6%. We sampled one of the Paul Lanois casks as a part of an Ardnamurchan tasting in the Spring, and it was impressive. 86.88pts Whisky Base.
Nose: Jellied fruits give way to an Auld Alliance of fresh croissants with strawberry jam and warm Aberdeenshire butteries. Honeydew melon with nougat and vanilla ice cream.
Palate: Strawberry tart, muscovado, and apple strudel with orange bitters and pink peppercorns on the finish.
